This piece is a diagram but it’ll never look like that as you read it. Cross-references and mistakes allow you to draw sentences and sketch thoughts instead of writing them. Words were never meant to be pushed alone. Only when they are dragged and lassoed and ice-skated along a page, leaping occasionally, do they fall in love or exorcise pangs of hate.
