DEATH BY DANGEROUS ROWING

He drove down to the ferry slipway, U-turned and parked facing the queue of cars. From his boot he took a double barrel shotgun, 2 oars and a gallon of fuel. He threw them all into a 7ft punt and hauled the boat into the river in rain so hard, it would be a bath by the time he rowed out of sight. Within a minute we would we hear gunfire, two 420fps blasts in tandem, muffled by the rain. Whether he shot a fish, a bird or himself, only the river knows.
